A PERMIAN BEACH IN THE ZECHSTEIN DOLOMITES FO WESTERN POLAND: INFLUENCE ON RESERVOIRS
Journal of Petroleum Geology, 1985Zechstein ooid grainstones, which have formed a narrow belt (several hundered meters in width) along the basin‐facing platform margin, have been greatly affected by fresh‐water diagenesis, resulting in contrasting resrvoir characteristics. fresh‐water diagenesis, which was related to a beach environment, was closely accompanied by dolomitization; there

Evaluation of Surfactants for CO2 Mobility Control in Dolomite Reservoirs
SPE/DOE Enhanced Oil Recovery Symposium, 1992ABSTRACT Laboratory studies were conducted to find the best surfactant for generating CO2 foam in the presence of residual oil for two dolomite reservoirs. Conventional anionic and nonionic surfactants did not foam very well in core tests at reservoir conditions.

Pilot Water Flooding in a Dolomite Reservoir, The McElroy Field
Journal of Petroleum Technology, 1964Abstract The McElroy field, discovered in 1926, is one of the major oil reservoirs of West Texas. Production is obtained from the Permian Grayburg-San Andres dolomites at an average depth of 3,000 ft. Two gas injection and four waterflood pilots have been conducted in the field.

Reservoir properties of the Raminger Dolomite
This thesis characterizes the reservoir properties of Middle Triassic dolostomite to evaluate its potential for deep geothermal use, dolomites belong to the Raming Formation of the Göller Nappe exposed on the Hoher Lindkogel near Baden. The analysed outcrops are regarded analogues of hydrothermal reservoirs in the adjacent Vienna Basin.openaire +1 more source
Carbonate cements in siliciclastic reservoirs - The dolomite role
2007Carbonates are important diagenetic cements in siliciclastic rocks thus important to determine these rocks as hydrocarbon reservoirs. The cement is the material had chemically precipitated partial or totally pore filling, affecting rock values of porosity and permeability. The acknowledgment of diagenetic patterns those are associated to the carbonatic

Petroleum Reservoirs in Silurian Dolomite of Western Illinois: ABSTRACT
AAPG Bulletin, 1985The basal Silurian Alexandrian carbonates, sandwiched between the Ordovician-Silurian and Silurian-Devonian unconformities, have produced more than 3 million bbl of oil from the Buckhorn East and Brooklyn fields on the western margin of Illinois. These fields are shallow (450-670 ft), remote from the most-productive portion of the Illinois basin, and ...

Sedimentary Geology, 1986
Abstract Reservoirs of commercial gasfields in eastern Sichuan, China, occur in Middle Carboniferous dolomite. Porous reservoir rocks in this dolomite are bounded by an upper disconformity and were deposited in tidal flats. Two types of diagenetic histories are suggested.

Hypothesis on the karstification/dolomitization of the Barremian reservoir in Parentis Basin
The Parentis sub-Basin, located southwest of Bordeaux (France), has been known since the 1950s as a prolific oil reservoir. It lies at the eastern end of the Bay of Biscay. Several fields are exploited in the onshore part of the basin, the largest being at Parentis-en-Born, discovered by ESSOREP in 1954 and exploited by VERMILION REP since 2006.Alexandre Ortiz +6 more
