Clinical and Biological Features of Response in Resistant Neuroblastoma to 131I‐Metaiodobenzylguanidine Radiotherapy in the Anti‐GD2 Immunotherapy Era

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.

Domain-specific tensor languages

open access: yesJournal of Functional Programming
Abstract The tensor notation used in several areas of mathematics is a useful one, but it is not widely available to the functional programming community. In a practical sense, the (embedded) domain-specific languages ( dsl s) that are currently in use for tensor algebra are

Cross-Domain Association in Metacognitive Efficiency Depends on First-Order Task Types

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2018
An important yet unresolved question is whether or not metacognition consists of domain-general or domain-specific mechanisms. While most studies on this topic suggest a dissociation between metacognitive abilities at the neural level, there are ...

Hospitalization Through Families’ Eyes: Comparing Inpatient Care Quality for Children With Sickle Cell Disease and Cystic Fibrosis in Canada

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a chronic, inherited hemoglobinopathy that requires frequent hospitalization for disease‐related complications. Canadian data on inpatient care is limited. This study compared caregiver‐reported hospital experiences of children with SCD to those with cystic fibrosis (CF), a chronic, autosomal recessive ...

Serological Benefit of SARS‐CoV‐2 Vaccination Relative to Infection in Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

The Role of Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation in Ataxia‐Telangiectasia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ataxia‐telangiectasia (A‐T) is a DNA repair disorder characterized by neurodegeneration, immunodeficiency, and cancer predisposition. Hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is an established therapy in related disorders such as Fanconi anemia (FA) and Nijmegen breakage syndrome (NBS), but its role in A‐T is unclear.
