Analysis of Evaluative Questions in Eighth Grade Mathematics Textbook according to Bloom's Cognitive Domain Levels

open access: diamondDirasat: Educational Sciences, 2022
Objectives: The study aims to analyze evaluative questions included in eighth grade mathematics textbook in Jordan. Methods: The researcher used a descriptive and analytical approach represented in content analysis. Evaluation items were built based on Bloom’s cognitive levels.

Mathematical analysis of planar crystals grown from vapor in bounded domains

open access: green, 2014
The quasi-static evolution of planar crystals grown from supersaturation or dilute solutions are studied. A crystal is assumed to be an m-gon at all time, but not necessarily convex, in a domain with smooth boundary. The equations are of Stefan type coupled with the Gibbs-Thomson relation. We show local in time existence of solutions.

Mathematical analysis of superconductivity in a domain with corners: semi-classical and numerical methods

open access: green, 2003

Integrated representation for discrete Fourier and wavelet transforms using vector notation

open access: yesMehran University Research Journal of Engineering and Technology, 2022
Many mathematical operations are implemented easily through transform domain operations. Multiple transform domain operations are used independently in large and complex applications.

Predicting Math Ability Using Working Memory, Number Sense, and Neurophysiology in Children and Adults

open access: yesBrain Sciences, 2022
Previous work has shown relations between domain-general processes, domain-specific processes, and mathematical ability. However, the underlying neurophysiological effects of mathematical ability are less clear.

MATHEMATICAL RESILIENCE, HABITS OF MIND, AND SOCIOMATHEMATICAL NORMS BY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN LEARNING MATHEMATICS: A STRUCTURED EQUATION MODEL

open access: yesInfinity, 2023
The process of learning mathematics is determined by cognitive aspects and requires an affective domain. The affective domain is essential in developing mathematical abilities to solve mathematical problems.

Insightful Facts on Peristalsis Flow of Water Conveying Multi-Walled Carbon Nanoparticles Through Elliptical Ducts With Ciliated Walls

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2022
In this research, a mathematical model is disclosed that elucidates the peristaltic flow of carbon nanotubes in an elliptic duct with ciliated walls. This novel topic of nanofluid flow is addressed for an elliptic domain for the very first time.
