Mathematical analysis of planar crystals grown from vapor in bounded domains
The quasi-static evolution of planar crystals grown from supersaturation or dilute solutions are studied. A crystal is assumed to be an m-gon at all time, but not necessarily convex, in a domain with smooth boundary. The equations are of Stefan type coupled with the Gibbs-Thomson relation. We show local in time existence of solutions.

Integrated representation for discrete Fourier and wavelet transforms using vector notation
Many mathematical operations are implemented easily through transform domain operations. Multiple transform domain operations are used independently in large and complex applications.

Previous work has shown relations between domain-general processes, domain-specific processes, and mathematical ability. However, the underlying neurophysiological effects of mathematical ability are less clear.

Children’s Picture Books: A Systematic Analysis of Features in the Domain of Mathematics
Shared-picture book reading can stimulate children’s mathematical development. Evidence of learning-supportive characteristics in picture books is limited in this domain. A first step is systematically analyzing the occurrence of domain-specific features in publicly available picture books.

In this research, a mathematical model is disclosed that elucidates the peristaltic flow of carbon nanotubes in an elliptic duct with ciliated walls. This novel topic of nanofluid flow is addressed for an elliptic domain for the very first time.
