This work explicitly states the design flows of the fractional-order analog filters used by researchers throughout the literature. Two main flows are studied: the FPAA implementation and the circuit realization.

Student model initialization using domain knowledge ontology representative subset
In intelligent e-learning systems that adapt a learning and teaching process to student knowledge, it is important to adapt the system as quickly as possible. However, adaptation is not possible until the student model is initialized.

Identifying Ethnomathematics in the Old Mosque of Tosora
The superficial understanding and application of cultural values in the life of a pluralistic community is the main reason to conduct this research as a way to introduce the importance of national identity to students through mathematics learning.

Unstructured spline spaces for isogeometric analysis based on spline manifolds
Based on spline manifolds we introduce and study a mathematical framework for analysis-suitable unstructured B-spline spaces. In this setting the parameter domain has a manifold structure, which allows for the definition of function spaces that have a ...

Asymptotic spectral theory for nonlinear time series
We consider asymptotic problems in spectral analysis of stationary causal processes. Limiting distributions of periodograms and smoothed periodogram spectral density estimates are obtained and applications to the spectral domain bootstrap are given ...

The Mean-Field Limit for Solid Particles in a Navier-Stokes Flow [PDF]
We propose a mathematical derivation of Brinkman's force for a cloud of particles immersed in an incompressible fluid. Our starting point is the Stokes or steady Navier-Stokes equations set in a bounded domain with the disjoint union of N balls of radius

Motivated by the propagation of nonlinear sound waves through relaxing hereditary media, we study a nonlocal third-order Jordan-Moore-Gibson-Thompson acoustic wave equation. Under the assumption that the relaxation kernel decays exponentially, we prove local well-posedness in unbounded two- and three-dimensional domains.
