Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Is a Domain Name Property? [PDF]
Domain names have become increasingly valuable assets; in some respects, more valuable than trademarks. A domain name may identify not only the source of the goods, services, business, or information, but also the virtual location of the source, much as ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Domain name valuation: Typology and verification of research hypotheses [PDF]
Domain names are digital tools that make it easy to locate on the Internet. Only, speculation and gain applause have prompted the registries managing the first-level extensions to liberalize hierarchical levels.

DomainHarvester: Uncovering Trustworthy Domains Beyond Popularity Rankings
Allow lists are crucial in cybersecurity for distinguishing safe websites from potential threats. Traditional approaches relying on website popularity often fail to capture trustworthy but less-visited domains, leading to increased false positives and ...
