Influence of domain experience on icon recognition and preferences
Behaviour & Information Technology, 2020With the advance of the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart sensor networks, accurate understanding of complex data via interface icons is critical for effective decision making, operation managemen...

Autotransporters are a superfamily of proteins secreted by Gram-negative bacteria including many virulence factors. They are modular proteins composed of an N-terminal signal peptide, a surface-exposed 'passenger' domain carrying the activity of the protein, and a C-terminal 'translocator' domain composed of an alpha-helical linker region and a ...

Influence of Crossing the Transonic Domain for Precision Ammunition
31st International Symposium on Ballistics, 2019Although trajectography for small-calibre and long-range projectiles in particular, seem to be controlled since a long time, it is not totally mastered within transonic or even subsonic range. Given the high cost of the precision ammunition and the increasingly complex practical execution of the firing process due to the required distances, the use of ...

The Influence of Domain Specificity on Motivation in Physical Education
Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, 2008With the assumption that domain specificity would significantly influence students' motivation, our study was designed to investigate between- and within-domain relations of task value, perceived autonomy and competence, and achievement goal orientations across physical education and mathematics.

Influence and aggregation of preferences over combinatorial domains
International Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems, 2012In a multi-agent context where a set of agents declares their preferences over a common set of candidates, it is often the case that agents may influence each others. Recent work has modelled the influence phenomenon in the case of voting over a single issue.

Influence of the surface on magnetic domain-wall microstructure
Physical Review Letters, 1989The magnetization orientations in domain walls at the surfaces of an Fe crystal, a ferromagnetic glass, and a Permalloy film, measured by scanning electron microscopy with polarization analysis, exhibit asymmetric surface N\'eel wall profiles which (1) are at least twice as wide as interior Bloch walls in bulk and (2) are described quantitatively by ...

Domain-wall resistivity in SrRuO3: the influence of domain walls spacing
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2001Abstract SrRuO 3 is an itinerant ferromagnet with a stripe domain structure. Here, we report how the resistivity due to the domain walls is affected when the density of the domain walls is decreased. We find that while the perpendicular resistivity is uniformly scaled down, the effect on the parallel resistivity seems to be temperature dependent. We

Influence of Elastic Anisotropy on Acoustoelectric Domain Propagation
Physica Status Solidi (a), 1972The effect of elastic anisotropy on acoustoelectric domain propagation in semiconducting CdS has been studied by Brillouin scattering. Two configurations were examined. In the longitudinal configuration (E ∥ c) V-shaped domains with the two branches containing different acoustic wave vector distributions were observed.

The Influence of Franchisees beyond Their Local Domain
International Small Business Journal: Researching Entrepreneurship, 1994THOMAS DANDRIDGE IS DIRECTOR OF THE Small Business Institute at the University of Albany, State University of New York. He and Dr. Cecilia M. Falbe have conducted extensive research into the franchising relationship. Franchising is an evolving organisational form with broad implications for the ways decisions are made and implemented within a large ...
