Automation in Construction, 1993Abstract This paper describes a research programme sponsored by the British Department of Environment whose goal is to build a database of the non-domestic building stock of England and Wales. This database will contain information about all buildings, other than houses and flats, throughout the country.

The principal activities, or groups of activities, studied were inspecting, gathering, carrying and sitting (building). The latter includes a number of stereotyped motor patterns functioning in shaping the cup. The nest‐site is selected by the female as or before building begins.

International Journal of Solar Energy, 1994Abstract Natural daylight is an inexpensive and very efficient light source provided that the amount of daylight entering a building is controlled according to demand. In commercial buildings electricity for lighting can be cut by 50-75% using daylighting design techniques in combination with efficient artificial lighting.
