This chapter explores the possibilities regarding Josephus' place in Domitianic Rome vis-a-vis the emperor himself. It considers the opportunities for contact between the two, both prior to Domitian's accession and during his rule, a question that is not nearly as straightforward as was the case with Vespasian and Titus.
