Influence of rain Doppler frequency on MMW Doppler fuze

Proceedings of the 9th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory, 2010
Guided weapon systems require a proximity fuze device to trigger the explosive warhead. Various proximity fuze types are currently employed. The millimeter wave (MMW) radio Doppler fuze is a potential advantage system, and it is required for a wide range of military application.

24-GHz Frequency Scanning Doppler Vibrometer

2023 IEEE Topical Conference on Wireless Sensors and Sensor Networks, 2023
In this paper, a novel zero-IF 24-GHz frequency scanning Doppler radar is developed and employed as a vibrometer for the detection of multiple vibrating targets without contact. Exploiting the beam squint of the antennas, the environment can be sensed in different directions by selecting the operating frequency of the transceiver.

Doppler Frequency Estimation using Overlap Frequency Domain Equalization

2018 21st International Symposium on Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications (WPMC), 2018
Heterogeneous network concept is going to be utilized in the fifth generation mobile communication systems in order to enhance both network throughput and user throughput. Many techniques have been investigated to increase the throughput. However, the techniques are easily degraded with many causes.

A Doppler frequency estimate using the instantaneous frequency

Proceedings of 13th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing, 2002
In the preamble it is shown that, under a quasi-stationarity assumption of the multi-component Doppler signal. The assimilation of the Doppler frequency to the mean instantaneous frequency is consistent. Basically, this frequency can be estimated from the first moment of a quadratic time-frequency distribution.

Laser Doppler vibrometer employing active frequency feedback

Applied Optics, 2008
We present a heterodyne Michelson interferometer for vibration measurement in which feedback is used to obviate the need to unwrap phase data. The Doppler shift of a vibrating target mirror is sensed interferometrically and compensated by means of a voltage-controlled oscillator driving an acousto-optic modulator.

Doppler spectral estimation using time-frequency distributions

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 1999
The time-frequency distribution (TFD) of Doppler blood flow signals is usually obtained using the spectrogram, which requires signal stationarity and is known to produce large estimation variance. This paper examines four alternative, nonstationary spectral estimators: a smoothed pseudo-Wigner distribution (SPWD), the Choi-Williams distribution (CWD ...

Frequency of Doppler measurable pulmonary artery pressures

Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, 1996
The current literature suggests that right-sided heart pressures can be obtained noninvasively in approximately 60% of patients. We hypothesized that with a focused echocardiographic Doppler examination, measurable tricuspid or pulmonary valve regurgitation suitable for measuring pressures could be obtained in a higher percentage of patients. The study

A comprehensive analysis on Doppler frequency and Doppler frequency rate characterization for GNSS receivers

2016 2nd IEEE International Conference on Computer and Communications (ICCC), 2016
Understanding the characteristics of Doppler frequency and Doppler frequency rate is a first knowledge in designing a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, which is important in choosing GNSS signal acquisition and tracking strategies. However, there lacks a work that comprehensively derives and summarizes receiver Doppler frequency and ...
