Objective We aimed to validate the Pediatric Arthritis Ultrasound Scoring System (PAUSS) for upper extremity joints in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Methods Children with JIA were evaluated for elbow, wrist, or finger arthritis by clinical examination (CE) and musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) with images scored according to the ...

Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

A miniaturized mechano‐acoustic sensor is developed using an electrospun PVDF nanomesh as the diaphragm in a capacitive sensor structure. Unlike conventional nanomesh‐based sensors, it achieves high linear sensitivity, a broad and flat frequency response, and a compact form factor.

The imaging algorithm in the optimal range FrFT domain based on Doppler parameters [PDF]
In view of the error impact of Doppler parameters estimation on SAR imaging performance, this paper constructs the energy focusing axis based on the optimal rotation angle in the optimal range FrFT (fractional Fourier transform) domain.

Doppler-Induced Dynamics of Fields in Fabry-Perot Cavities with Suspended Mirrors [PDF]
The Doppler effect in Fabry-Perot cavities with suspended mirrors is analyzed. Intrinsically small, the Doppler shift accumulates in the cavity and becomes comparable to or greater than the line-width of the cavity if its finesse is high or its length is

Self-mixing dual-frequency laser Doppler velocimeter
A self-mixing (SM) dual-frequency (DF) laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) (SM DF-LDV) is proposed and studied, which integrates the advantages of both the SM-LDV and the DF-LDV. An optically injected semiconductor laser operated in a dual-frequency period-one (P1) dynamical state is used as the light source.

Concept for automatic Doppler compensation in two-way communication systems [PDF]
Automatic Frequency Control system compensates for Doppler shift in two-way communication systems where one or both stations are moving. This automatic correction can be applied to the reply link to elimate frequency search for the reply or an excessive ...
