Time-Frequency Integrals and the Stationary Phase Method in Problems of Waves Propagation from Moving Sources [PDF]
The time-frequency integrals and the two-dimensional stationary phase method are applied to study the electromagnetic waves radiated by moving modulated sources in dispersive media. We show that such unified approach leads to explicit expressions for the

High Dynamic Range Thin‐Film Resistive Flow Sensors for Monitoring Diverse Biofluids
Thin‐film resistive flow sensors with thermoresistive and piezoresistive mechanisms are developed for biofluid monitoring. Fabricated using biocompatible materials and laser micromachining, the devices achieve sub‐millimeter dimensions and a broad dynamic range.

Epitaxial piezoelectric α‐quartz/Si BioNEMS sensors, made using soft chemistry, effectively detect the Chikungunya virus. They have a mass sensitivity of 205 pg Hz−1 in liquid and can detect the virus at a limit of 9 ng mL−1. This development enables high‐frequency mass devices for point‐of‐care testing in healthcare and other electronic applications ...

What is Doppler ultrasound? [PDF]
The term Doppler should be capitalized because it refers to Christian Johann Doppler, an Austrian physicist (1803–1853). He described a phenomenon whereby the frequency of sound changes when it is reflected off a moving object.

Nonlinear magneto-optical rotation of frequency-modulated light resonant with a low-J transition [PDF]
A low-light-power theory of nonlinear magneto-optical rotation of frequency-modulated light resonant with a J=1->J'=0 transition is presented. The theory is developed for a Doppler-free transition, and then modified to account for Doppler broadening and ...

A Digital Multigate Doppler Method for High Frequency Ultrasound [PDF]
Noninvasive visualization of blood flow with high frequency Doppler ultrasound has been extensively used to assess the morphology and hemodynamics of the microcirculation. A completely digital implementation of multigate pulsed-wave (PW) Doppler method was proposed in this paper for high frequency ultrasound applications. Analog mixer was eliminated by
