The analysis of transient Doppler frequency shift from microcavitation

IEEE 1992 Ultrasonics Symposium Proceedings, 2003
By transmitting a probing wave (29.4 MHz) toward a microbubble, a transient Doppler frequency shift is observed by estimating the transient frequency of the backscattered signal. An analytical solution is obtained by modeling the scatterer as a quasi-static sphere. The model is used to explain the experimental data.

Frequency Doubling in the X-Band Doppler Shift Experiment

American Journal of Physics, 1970
An interesting extension to the conventional Doppler shift experiment is described. The basic equipment is similar to other X-band systems and is built around a 4-port directional coupler. By using a vibrating mirror in place of the normal constant velocity reflector, the output from the mixer can be observed to occur at both the expected Doppler ...

Laser Doppler velocimeter with variable optical frequency shift

Optics & Laser Technology, 1975
Abstract An opto-electronic system that allows a stable accurate frequency shift, variable from 10 kHz to 50 MHz, to be introduced in a laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) has been developed. The system combines a fixed optical-frequency shift obtained using a Bragg cell with an electronic shift which results from mixing the detector signal with a ...
