Doppler-free/Doppler-sliced ion imaging

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2006
We demonstrate a hybrid Doppler-free/Doppler-sliced ion imaging approach that is well-suited for detection of H or D atoms. The method relies on 2 + 1 resonant ionization with identical, nearly counterpropagating beams that are coplanar but directed at a small angle relative to the detector face.

Transvaginal color Doppler imaging

Journal of Clinical Ultrasound, 1990
AbstractTransvaginal color Doppler was used to assess circulation in pelvic vessels in a group of 64 patients including 15 patients with fertility problems, 18 patients with pelvic tumors, 2 cases of suspected ectopic pregnancy, and 29 pregnant patients with fetuses between 6 weeks and 10 weeks, menstrual age.Blood flow was successfully displayed by ...

Doppler colour flow imaging

Nature, 1987
AbstractBy simultaneous processing of frequency, phase, and amplitude information in the backscattered ultrasound signal, new instruments now permit the realtime display of high‐resolution grey scale images of tissue combined with the simultaneous display of flow data from vessels within the scan plane.

Laser Doppler Perfusion Imaging

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Europe, 1996
Laser Doppler Perfusion Imaging (LDPI) creates two-dimensional flow-maps of the tissue perfusion. A laser beam scans the tissue surface step-wise by means of a computer controlled stepper motor system that forms an integral part of a camera-like device positioned above the tissue surface.

Doppler myocardial imaging

1997
Current standard cardiac ultrasound techniques derive their information on myocardial function indirectly based either on parameters measured from the endo- and epicardial specular reflections or from blood pool Doppler indices.

Doppler Imaging Systems

1981
The search for a practical, clinically applicable system for non-invasive detection and diagnosis of atherosclerosis followed early demonstrations that ultrasound could be used. Pulse-echo systems were the first to be investigated and showed that, although plaque could be visualized or its absorption properties made apparent in vivo, some types of ...

Doppler echocardiography. II. Color Doppler imaging.

The Veterinary clinics of North America. Small animal practice, 1999
Color Doppler imaging (CDI) is a sophisticated form of ultrasound technology that overlays blood flow and velocity information onto a B-mode, two-dimensional, gray-scale image. This imaging technique--also called color Doppler echocardiography, color-coded Doppler, Doppler color-flow imaging, and color-flow imaging--is a type of pulsed-wave Doppler ...

Range‐Doppler imaging

International Journal of Imaging Systems and Technology, 1989
AbstractWe review various narrow‐band range‐Doppler imaging methods that have been proposed for radar and highlight the difficulties in their implementation and their limitations. We also present two new imaging schemes. The first involves the transmission of multiplexed chirps, and the second involves simple frequency division multiplexing. The second

Doppler Ultrasonic Imaging

2002
The method of image reconstruction using the backprojection technique employed to create X-ray CT scans has been successfully applied to reconstruct images of targets rotating in a continuous wave ultrasonic beam.

Color Doppler Imaging in Uveitis

European Journal of Ophthalmology, 1997
Purpose. To evaluate the vascular hemodynamic changes that can be detected with color Doppler imaging (CDI) in diagnosis, differential diagnosis and prognosis of uveitis with different etiologies including Behçet's disease. Methods. Four groups consisting of healthy volunteers, uveitis patients with different etiologies and Behçet's disease patients ...
