Rain Measurement Using Nacelle-Mounted Doppler Lidar
Rain measurements based on the remote sensing technique play an important role in many fields. In this paper, the DTU-developed continuous-wave SpinnerLidar, deployed on top of a wind turbine, is used to investigate the feasibility of rain measurement.

Decoupling and Parameter Extraction Methods for Conical Micro-Motion Object Based on FMCW Lidar
Micro-Doppler time–frequency analysis has been regarded as an important parameter extraction method for conical micro-motion objects. However, the micro-Doppler effect caused by micro-motion can modulate the frequency of lidar echo, leading to coupling ...

Influence of coherent mesoscale structures on satellite-based Doppler lidar wind measurements [PDF]
The influence of coherent mesoscale structures on satellite based Doppler lidar wind measurements was investigated. Range dependent weighting functions and the single shot SNR of scan angle are examined and a space shuttle lidar experiment which used a ...

Adaptive optics in coherent lidar wind measurements: A feasibility study [PDF]
Laser Doppler radar (lidar) is widely used for remote sensing of wind velocities. Usable wavelengths for the laser are limited by the effects of atmospheric turbulence. An adaptive optical system is proposed to compensate for turbulence effects on signal
