On Doppler-Shift Attenuation Measurements
Canadian Journal of Physics, 1972An improved analysis of Doppler-shifted γ spectra is outlined. This analysis is exact within the Lindhard theory of slowing down of heavy ions in solids. With an approximate cross section applicable at low energies, the equations become independent of the energy, except as a scaling parameter, and depend only on the projectile–target mass ratio.

It is first shown that the ideal electron plasma (presence of protons neglected) is unique among all dispersive media in that it does not distinguish any inertial frame of reference in terms of utility. The theory of the Doppler shift in an ideal plasma is then developed by simultaneous employment of two inertial frames of reference.

CANCELLATION OF DOPPLER FREQUENCY SHIFT
1963Abstract : A circuit is described which is capable of canceling first-order Doppler frequency shifts. It has potentialities in the fields of communication, data transmission, and navigation systems for vehicles moving at high velocities. The circuit has the following features: (1) Received and transmitted frequencies at each of the stations involved ...
