Probabilistic modelling of bistatic Doppler shift

open access: yes, 2022
S.348-352The bistatic Doppler shift depends irreducibly on target position and velocity. This fact renders intractable an analytical assessment of the radar's global ability to counter stationary clutter.

Doppler Shift Compensation Schemes in VANETs [PDF]

open access: yesMobile Information Systems, 2015
Over the last decade vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication has received a lot of attention as it is a crucial issue in intravehicle communication as well as in Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). In ITS the focus is placed on integration of communication between mobile and fixed infrastructure to execute road safety as well as nonsafety ...

Observation of the rotational Doppler shift with spatially incoherent light

open access: yes, 2021
The rotational Doppler shift (RDS) is typically measured by illuminating a rotating target with a laser prepared in a simple, known orbital angular momentum (OAM) superposition.

Artificial Intelligence in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

Referenceless Doppler Shift and Rate Estimation for Opportunistic Positioning With OneWeb Signals

open access: yesIEEE Access
We propose a technique for extracting the Doppler shift and its rate from OneWeb’s Ku-band user downlink signals and demonstrate its suitability for opportunistic positioning.

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Measurement of the Relativistic Doppler Shift in Neon [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1985
The relativistic Doppler shift is measured by the counting of the frequency difference between two cw dye lasers. One laser is locked to a two-photon transition in a fast beam of neon, and the other is locked to the same two-photon transition in thermal neon. The experimental result is compared to the prediction of special relativity.

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...

On the Correlation Between the SAR Backscatter Modulation and Surface Waves Orbital Velocity

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
A challenging effect in the retrieval of ocean surface currents from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is the so-called wave-induced Doppler velocity. This effect arises from the correlation between the modulation of the normalized radar cross section (NRCS)

Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...
