Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of Radar Micro-Doppler Signature Modulated by Rotating Blades of Drones

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2020
Radar signatures contributed by rotating blades of drones usually refer to the kinematical micro-Doppler phenomenon on spectrograms. Here, theoretical analysis indicates that when sampling time is short enough that this signature becomes instant micro ...

Numerical Simulation and Experimental Analysis of Small Drone Rotor Blade Polarimetry Based on RCS and Micro-Doppler Signature

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2019
Detecting and tracking small drones is significant for security requirements, but is challenging since small drones typically have a low radar cross section (RCS), small size, and hovering ability. Polarimetric analysis of returned radio wave is of great

UAV Micro-Doppler Signature Analysis

2020 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarConf20), 2020
The radar phenomenology of UAVs interacts with the micro-Doppler signal processing in interesting and useful ways. This paper adjusts the micro-Doppler processing to establish more consistent UAV micro-Doppler signatures and improve the separability of relevant features. The outlined approach is developed in the context of UAV rotor analysis.
