Drone Classification and Localization Using Micro-Doppler Signature with Low-Frequency Signal
International Conference on Conceptual Structures, 2018Security issues, such as unsafe operation and terrorist activity have become more critical due to the rising popularization of drones in recent years. To address these issues, drone classification and localization techniques become more desirable.

Spectral Doppler Signature Waveforms in Ultrasonography
Ultrasound Quarterly, 2010Doppler ultrasound is routinely used in the clinical setting to evaluate blood flow in many major vessels of the body. Spectral Doppler is used to display the normal and abnormal signature waveforms that are unique to each vessel. It is important for the sonographer and the radiologist to recognize both what is normal and what is abnormal in a spectral

Experimental Observations of Micro-Doppler Signatures With Passive Radar
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2019Passive radar's ability to observe micro-Doppler phenomena from helicopters, fixed-wing propeller aircraft, and jet engine modulation is examined. Experimental results from a digital television based passive radar demonstrate its potential to observe characteristic signatures of multiple types of air targets and estimate helicopters’ primary rotor ...

Acoustic Micro-Doppler Gait Signatures of Humans and Animals
2007 41st Annual Conference on Information Sciences and Systems, 2007A micro-Doppler active acoustic sensing system is described. We report its use in acquiring gait signatures of humans and four-legged animals in indoor and outdoor environments. Signals from an accelerometer attached to the leg support the interpretation of the components in the measured micro-Doppler signature.

Through-the-Wall Micro-Doppler Signatures
2014Radar technology has been utilized for through-the-wall operation in recent years. Through-the-wall radars have become an area of interest due to their usefulness in surveillance, search and rescue operations, and others. We address the specific challenges that through-the-wall radars endure, and present simulations and experimental data for through ...

Simulation of human micro-Doppler signatures with Kinect sensor
2014 IEEE Radar Conference, 2014The availability and access to real radar data collected for targets with a desired characteristic is often limited by monetary and practical resources, especially in the case of airborne radar. In such cases, the generation of accurate simulated radar data is critical to the successful design and testing of radar signal processing algorithms.

Vortex Signature Recognition by a Doppler Radar
Journal of Applied Meteorology, 1970Abstract A scanning Doppler radar has capability for measurement of the tangential shear of radial velocity or gradient of the radial component of velocity in a direction normal to the radial vector. Tangential shear of sufficient magnitude in a horizontal direction reveals one term of the expression for vorticity in a horizontal plane.

A Comparative Study on Micro-Doppler Signature Generation Methods for UAVs Using Rotor Blade Model
2019 6th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE), 2019Identification of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is a challenging problem. For identification, micro-Doppler effects from the rotors of UAVs are widely used to extract the features.

Study and Simulation of Radar Targets' Micro-Doppler Signature
Radar, 2018Micro-Doppler signature of any radar target is induced due to back-scattering from rotational parts of engine compressor, exposed blades, turbine etc. The study of micro-Doppler signature aids in feature extraction based target recognition.
