This study reports the fabrication of MRI‐compatible elastomeric micro‐balloons via a multi‐step bubble casting process, where the monolithic elastomeric wall is selectively stiffened for reversible and controlled inflation and elasticity, depending on the target vessels for graded occlusion of cerebral arteries.

Twist metrology with twisted light in fibers
A recent breakthrough of optical metrology is the all-fiber rotational Doppler velocimetry using twisted light, which offers a compact, reciprocal, and ultra-broadband solution for measuring the angular velocity of rotating objects.

Time-stretched photonic Doppler velocimetry
Inertial confinement fusion facilities generate implosions at speeds greater than 100 km/s, and measuring the material velocities is important and challenging. We have developed a new velocimetry technique that uses time-stretched spectral interferometry to increase the measurable velocity range normally limited by the detector bandwidth.
