Weed research (Print), 2018
Fresh seeds of oilseed rape (Brassica napus) are reported to be nondormant and nonphotoblastic. However, a portion of the seeds can be induced into a light‐requiring state (secondary dormancy) for germination and also exhibit dormancy cycling.

The control of bud dormancy cycle in fruit trees
2022Dormancy is an essential developmental program that allows tree adaptation to low temperatures in winter. The mechanisms that regulate dormancy are highly heritable, suggesting a strong genetic control of this trait. However, the genetic networks controlling dormancy cycle in trees are still unknown.

Dormancy/Nondormancy Cycles in Spores of the Liverwort Sphaerocarpos texanus
The Bryologist, 1999The presence of a dormancy/nondormancy cycle was investigated in spores of the winter, annual, liverwort, Sphaerocarpos texanus. To test for loss of dormancy, mature laboratoryderived spores were held at three daily alternating incubation temperature regimes (thermoperiods) of 35/20, 30/15, and 25/15?C.

The Banjhi (Dormancy) Cycle in Tea (camellia sinensis)
Experimental Agriculture, 1981SUMMARYThe ‘banjhi’ or dormancy cycle in free-growing tea trees appears to be the result of an endogenous rhythm. However, in harvested tea apical dominance causes dormant shoots to be produced under conditions favourable to growth, and the synchronized flushing cycle causes periods of apical shoot (active terminal bud) and secondary shoot (dormant ...

Study of the role of small RNAs in dormancy cycle of apple tree
2021Winter dormancy is an adaptative mechanism that temperate and boreal trees have developed to protect their meristems against low temperatures. In apple trees (Malus domestica), cold temperatures induce bud dormancy at the end of summer/beginning of the fall.
