Dorsal root ganglion proteins in Friedreich's ataxia

Neuroscience Letters, 1993
The polypeptide composition of dorsal root ganglia from 8 human controls, 6 Friedreich's ataxia (FA) patients and 1 patient with diabetic neuropathy was studied by sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS)-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE). Silver-stained gels demonstrated a decrease in a 40-kDa protein in FA patients.

Vacuolated Cells in the Dorsal Root Ganglion of the Rabbit

Journal of Comparative Pathology and Therapeutics, 1952
Summary Vacuolated nerve cells are a feature of the spinal ganglion of the normal rabbit in about two thirds of animals. They may result from unusual activity of the cells. Their similarity to vacuolated nerve cells met with in scrapie of sheep is indicated.

Dorsal root ganglion neurons with central processes in both dorsal and ventral roots in rats

Neuroscience Letters, 1987
Axonal transport of fluorescent dyes, Diamidino yellow dihydrochloride (DY) and Fast blue (FB), applied to the cut distal ends of dorsal and ventral roots, respectively, was studied in order to determine whether any dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons have processes in both dorsal and ventral roots.
