Investigation of a novel chemically cross-linked fricke-Methylthymol blue-synthetic polymer gel dosimeter with glutaraldehyde cross-linker

Radiation Measurements, 2018
A novel radiosensitive composition of radiochromic gel dosimeter based on Fricke polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), Methylthymol blue dye (MTB), and chemical cross-linking agent glutaraldehyde (GTA) is presented and studied. Due to the MTB-PVA-GTA dosimeter having

A novel method for increasing the sensitivity of NIPAM polymer gel dosimeter

Radiation Physics and Chemistry, 2018
NIPAM polymer gel dosimeter has low toxicity and its response does not particularly depend on dose rate and beam energy. However, a chief drawback of the NPAM gel dosimeter is its relatively low sensitivity.

A new less toxic polymer gel dosimeter: Radiological characteristics and dosimetry properties.

Physica medica (Testo stampato), 2018
PURPOSE A new polymer gel dosimeter recipe was investigated that may be more suitable for widespread applications than polyacrylamide gel dosimeters, since the extremely toxic acrylamide has been replaced with the less harmful monomer 2-Acrylamido 2 ...

Exposure dose measurement during diagnostic pediatric X-ray examination using an optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dosimeter based on precise dose calibration taking into consideration variation of X-ray spectra

Radiation Measurements, 2018
When dosimetry is performed in actual clinical situations using diagnostic X-rays, the energy dependence of the dosimeter should be taken into consideration.

A Miniature Versatile Dosimeter

IRE Transactions on Medical Electronics, 1960
A miniature glass dosimetry system, is described that, when employed with a gold shield of suitable wall thickness and ``softer energy'' portals, is energy independent over a specified photon energy spectrum. A brief review of the characteristics that this dosimeter must meet before its use as a clinical in vivo doosimeter is included. Various physical

A photoacoustical radiation dosimeter

Medical Physics, 1984
A new type of radiation dosimeter using the photoacoustical effect is described. The photoacoustical radiation dosimeter (PARD) is capable of directly measuring the energy absorbed in the detecting element. For a completely absorbing element, the energy fluence rate in the radiation beam is measured. It is thus a calorimetric dosimeter.

Temperature effects on the ethanol-chlorobenzene dosimeter (Dvornik dosimeter)

International Journal of Radiation Applications and Instrumentation. Part A. Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 1991
The effects of elevated temperatures (50 and 80 oC) on the dose dependence of the response of the ethanol-chlorobenzene (ECB) dosimeter, namely G(Cl-) values as a function of dose, were studied in the dose range 1-25 kGy. Systems containing 4, 10 adn 20 vol% CB showed no dose effects of the response at 50 oC and system containing 4 vol% CB showed no ...
