Evolution of polyketide synthesis in a Dothideomycete forest pathogen

Fungal Genetics and Biology, 2017
Fungal secondary metabolites have many important biological roles and some, like the toxic polyketide aflatoxin, have been intensively studied at the genetic level. Complete sets of polyketide synthase (PKS) genes can now be identified in fungal pathogens by whole genome sequencing and studied in order to predict the biosynthetic potential of those ...

Towards a natural classification of Dothideomycetes: The genera Dermatodothella, Dothideopsella, Grandigallia, Hysteropeltella and Gloeodiscus (Dothideomycetes incertae sedis)

Phytotaxa, 2013
One-hundred and sixteen genera are listed as incertae sedis in the class Dothideomycetes. This is a first of a series of papers in which we re-examine the herbarium types of these genera, which are generally poorly known. By examining the generic types we can suggest higher level placements, but more importantly we illustrate the taxa so that they are ...

Towards a natural classification of Dothideomycetes 3: The genera Muellerites, Trematosphaeriopsis, Vizellopsis and Yoshinagella (Dothideomycetes incertae sedis)

Phytotaxa, 2014
We re-examine the generic types of genera with unclear placement in Dothideomycetes. These genera were hitherto poorly illustrated or described. Following examination their appropriate familial or ordinal level placements based on modern morphology concepts may be better understood. The generic types of Muellerites, Trematosphaeriopsis, Vizellopsis and

Trematosphaeriaceae fam. nov. (Dothideomycetes, Ascomycota)

Cryptogamie, Mycologie, 2011
Abstract Trematosphaeriaceae fam. nov. is introduced to accommodate the genera Falciformispora, Halomassarina and Trematosphaeria. The main distinguishing characters of the family are medium-sized rounded ascomata with a papillate ostiole, a relatively wide, coriaceous peridium, cellular pseudoparaphyses and cylindro-clavate asci.

Taxonomy and phylogeny of Cryptocoryneum (Pleosporales, Dothideomycetes)

Mycological Progress, 2016
Species of Cryptocoryneum were taxonomically reassessed on the basis of morphological observations and the results of molecular phylogenetic analysis. Eighteen isolates of Cryptocoryneum species, namely two strains from Africa, three from Europe, and 13 from Japan, were phylogenetically analysed using sequences of nuclear rDNA internal transcribed ...
