Photothermally Enhanced Hydrogel‐Based Thermoelectrochemical Cells for Stable, Passive Harvesting of Low‐Grade Heat

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A photothermally enhanced hydrogel‐based thermoelectrochemical cell enables passive conversion of low‐grade heat and solar energy into electricity. The quasi‐solid device achieves high thermopower and stable long‐term operation under passive conditions.

A Compact Hollow Fiber Electrode Assembly Architecture for Continuous Electrochemical Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A coaxial, membrane‐integrated hollow fiber electrode assembly (HFEA) is developed for continuous marine carbon mineralization. By utilizing a sub‐millimeter inter‐electrode gap, the HFEA minimizes Ohmic losses, achieving 50% energy reduction and over 85% DIC removal.

Near-Wall Double-Diffusive Convection

open access: yes, 1992
Double-diffusive convection near a vertical solid wall has been investigated by means of the aluminum-flake method of flow visualization. Two types of fingering flows (normal and large-densityratio fingers) form near the inside plane surface of the walls

Double diffusive convection by a chebyshev collocation method [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Solution accuracy is an important issue in modeling complicated, nonlinear physical phenomena such as double-diffusive processes. Recent researches in the area of internal, natural convection heat and mass transfer suggest that spectral methods may be a ...

CFD modeling and sensitivity‐guided design of silicon filament CVD reactors

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Filament‐based chemical vapor deposition (CVD) for silicon (Si) coatings is often treated as an adaptation of planar deposition. But this overlooks fundamental shifts in transport phenomena and reaction kinetics. In filament CVD, the filament acts as a substrate, heat source, and flow disruptor simultaneously. In this work, we ask: What really

Linear and weakly nonlinear multi-diffusive convection in a Navier-Stokes-Voigt fluid layer

open access: yesArab Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences
The stability of a triply diffusive Voigt fluid layer, where fluid density is influenced by three stratifying agents with different diffusivities (e.g. heat, solute, and another solute like a third agent), has been examined. The linear stability analysis

A Computational Approach for Biomimetic Design of Liver‐On‐A‐Chip

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
A biomimetic liver‐on‐a‐chip with antiparallel perfusion was designed using COMSOL‐guided simulation to replicate hepatic acinus transport. Full‐scale modelling revealed diffusion‐dominated, length‐dependent nutrient gradients and low‐shear conditions.
