Characteristics of double sodium layer over Haikou, China (20.0° N, 110.1° E)

open access: yesSolar-Terrestrial Physics, 2019
We study the property of double sodium layer structures (DSLs) in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere (MLT) by a lidar at the low-latitude location of Haikou (20.0° N, 110.1° E), China.

Enhancement of magnetic coupling and magnetic anisotropy in MTJs with multiple CoFeB/MgO interfaces for high thermal stability

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
Magnetic coupling between two CoFeB layers through the W insertion layer is important in the conventional double CoFeB/MgO interface, magnetic tunneling junctions (MTJs) (double-MTJs) with MgO/CoFeB/W/CoFeB/MgO free layer stack because it increases the ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Effect of fluid pressure on the thickness distribution of single-layer and double-layer cups

open access: yesManufacturing Review
In recent years, sheet hydrostatic forming technology has been widely applied to the production of thin-shell components due to its advantages and suitability. The blank is shaped to match the contour of the die under the influence of high-pressure fluid.

Ion size effects in a primitive level model of the diffuse double layer

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2004
An analytical expression is developed for the potential drop across the diffuse layer Φd in terms of a cubic polynomial in the corresponding estimate in the Gouy-Chapman approximation φdGC.

Improvement in Light Output of Ultraviolet Light-Emitting Diodes with Patterned Double-Layer ITO by Laser Direct Writing

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2019
A patterned double-layer indium-tin oxide (ITO), including the first unpatterned ITO layer serving as current spreading and the second patterned ITO layer serving as light extracting, was applied to obtain uniform current spreading and high light ...

Collective excitations in double-layer quantum Hall systems

open access: yes, 1994
We study the collective excitation spectra of double-layer quantum-Hall systems using the single mode approximation. The double-layer in-phase density excitations are similar to those of a single-layer system.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Characteristics of Oceanic Warm Cloud Layers within Multilevel Cloud Systems Derived by Satellite Measurements

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2019
Low-level warm clouds are a major component in multilayered cloud systems and they are generally hidden from the top-down view of satellites with passive measurements.
