Copper‐based Materials for Photo and Electrocatalytic Process: Advancing Renewable Energy and Environmental Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cu‐based catalysts as a cornerstone in advancing sustainable energy technologies are fully reviewed in this manuscript, highlighting their potential in photo‐ and electrocatalysis. It includes metallic copper, copper oxides, copper sulfides, copper halide perovskites, copper‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), and covalent organic frameworks (COFs),

Homogenization of a double porosity model in deformable media

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
The article addresses the homogenization of a family of micro-models for the flow of a slightly compressible fluid in a poroelastic matrix containing periodically distributed poroelastic inclusions, with low permeabilities and with imperfect contact ...

MnI‐Functionalized Covalent Organic Framework as Efficient Electrocatalyst for CO2 Reduction in a Catholyte‐Free Zero‐Gap Electrolyzer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates the successful integration of a phenanthroline‐based 2D COF with MnI catalytic sites into a catholyte‐free membrane‐electrode‐assembly cell for CO2 electroreduction. The crystalline COF actively suppresses Mn⁰–Mn⁰ dimerization, achieving a turnover frequency of 617 h⁻¹ at 2.8 V (full‐cell potential), and enabling stable operation.

Rational Fine‐Tuning of MOF Pore Metrics: Enhanced SO2 Capture and Sensing with Optimal Multi‐Site Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A pore tuning strategy to amplify the multi‐site MOF‐SO2 interactions is proposed to achieve an enhanced trace SO2 capture and chemiresistive sensing in highly stable isostructural DMOFs by annelating benzene rings. This work provides a facile strategy to achieve tailor‐made stable MOF materials for specific multifunctional applications.

Two level homogenization of flows in deforming double porosity media: biot-darcy-brinkman model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We present the two-level homogenization of the flow in a deformable double-porous structure described at two characteristic scales: the higher level porosity associated with the mesoscopic structure is constituted by channels in an elastic skeleton which

The Global Kondaurov Double Porosity Model

open access: yesDEStech Transactions on Computer Science and Engineering, 2017
In this paper we derive a non-equilibrium matrix imbibition equation for the homogenized Kondaurov double porosity model which is valid for arbitrary relaxation times. This equation involves the real saturation and Kondaurov's non-equilibrium parameter, i.e., the principal unknowns of the model.

Enhancing CoFe Catalysts with V2CTX MXene‐Derived Materials for Anion Exchange Membrane Electrolyzers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MXene dervied CoFe composites show increased initial Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) activity compared to the pure CoFe and MXene in an Anion Exchange Membrane device. Vanadium vacancies in the MXene plays a role in increased OER activity and hinders Fe leaching in the AEM device over using the pure V2C MXene as a support material for the CoFe ...

Analysis of a multiple-porosity model for single-phase flow through naturally fractured porous media

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2003
A derivation of a multiple-porosity model for the flow of a single phase, slightly compressible fluid in a multiscale, naturally fractured reservoir is presented by means of recursive use of homagnetization theory.

Plane waves and problems of steady vibrations in the theory of viscoelasticity for Kelvin-Voigt materials with double porosity

open access: yesArchives of Mechanics, 2016
In the present paper the linear theory of viscoelasticity for Kelvin–Voigt materials with double porosity is considered. Some basic properties of plane harmonic waves are established and the boundary value problems (BVPs) of steady vibrations are ...
