Truncus Arteriosus With Double Aortic Arch
World Journal for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery, 2020Truncus arteriosus (TA) or common arterial trunk is a congenital cardiac anomaly having high association with arch anomalies such as right aortic arch or aortic arch interruption. However, TA with double aortic arch (DAA) is a rare occurrence. We report a case of TA with DAA where the diagnosis of DAA was missed initially.

Fetal echocardiographic markers to differentiate between a right and double aortic arch
Prenatal Diagnosis, 2022To describe the fetal echocardiographic features of a double aortic arch (DAA) and secondly, to assess the performance of these features to differentiate between a right aortic arch with left duct (RAA‐LD) in a blinded cohort of vascular rings.

Recognising ligamentous atresia in double aortic arch
Cardiology in the Young, 2022Ligamentous atresia of the left side of a double arch distal to the left subclavian artery is a rare form of vascular ring, which can easily be confused, on transthoracic echocardiography, with the right-sided aortic arch when there is mirror-imaged ...

The telediagnosis of double aortic arch using spatio‐temporal image correlation
Echocardiography, 2021We diagnosed two cases of double aortic arch (DAA) remotely. In both cases, the right aortic arch was suspected, and a remote diagnosis was requested. We performed a remote diagnosis by the spatio‐temporal image correlation (STIC) method.

In conclusion, the diagnosis of DAA should be suspected in an infant with either biphasic stridor or feeding-related respiratory distress. Radiographic studies combined with appropriate thorough endoscopic evaluation should confirm clinical suspicion. Thoracotomy with surgical division of the DAA has given excellent long-term results.
