Measurement of the double charge exchange reaction for the 20Ne + 130Te system at 306 MeV

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
The 130Te(20Ne,20O)130Xe double charge exchange reaction was measured for the first time at very forward angles with the MAGNEX magnetic spectrometer at INFN-LNS.

Double beta decay to excited states in Nd150 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The pseudo SU(3) model is used to study the double beta decay of Nd150 to the ground and excited states of Sm150 . Low lying collective excitations of Sm150 and its BE(2) intensities are well reproduced. Expressions for the two neutrino double beta decay

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Phase Space Factors for Double-Beta Decays

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2019
Double-beta decay is presently a very studied process both theoretically and experimentally due to its potential to provide valuable information about important, but still unknown issues related to the neutrino properties and conservation of some ...

$${{\rho }}$$ ρ exchange contribution to neutrinoless double beta decay

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
We consider $$\rho $$ ρ meson contributions to neutrinoless double beta decay amplitude stemming from the hadronization of the short distance quark-electron currents. These contributions are evaluated within vacuum dominance approximation.

Synchrotron Radiation for Quantum Technology

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Materials and interfaces underpin quantum technologies, with synchrotron and FEL methods key to understanding and optimizing them. Advances span superconducting and semiconducting qubits, 2D materials, and topological systems, where strain, defects, and interfaces govern performance.

Study of the double Gamow-Teller transitions using the shell model approach

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
The double Gamow-Teller strength distributions in the lightest double beta-decay candidate 48Ca and its isotope 46Ca were calculated using the nuclear shell model by applying the single Gamow-Teller operator two times sequentially on the ground state of ...

Consistent large-scale shell-model analysis of the two-neutrino ββ and single β branchings in 48Ca and 96Zr

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
Two-neutrino double-beta-decay matrix elements M2ν and single beta-decay branching ratios were calculated for 48Ca and 96Zr in the interacting nuclear shell model using large single-particle valence spaces with well-tested two-body Hamiltonians. For 48Ca

Copper Doping Enhances the Activity and Selectivity of Atomically Precise Ag44 Nanoclusters for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By a simple anti‐Galvanic reaction, up to six copper atoms could be preferably doped into the Ag2(SR)5 staple motifs and Ag20 dodecahedral shell of an atomically precise Ag44(SR)30 nanocluster. When anatase TiO2 is used as substrate, the (AgCu)44/TiO2 photocatalyst exhibited much improved activity in photocatalytic CO2 reduction compared to Ag44/TiO2 ...

Scalar-induced neutrinoless double beta decay in SU(5)

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We discuss the role of heavy scalar fields in mediating neutrinoless double beta decay (0νββ) within the SU(5) Grand Unified Theory framework, extended suitably to include neutrino mass.
