Gold‐Doping of Double‐Crown Pd Nanoclusters
Chemistry – A European Journal, 2017AbstractDouble‐crown Ni, Pd, or Pt nanoclusters have attracted extensive interests due to their aesthetic structure and intriguing properties. However, their doping by other metals remains unknown until now. Herein, Pd4(PET)8 and Pd5(PET)10 (PET: SCH2CH2Ph) were successfully doped with gold and the doped nanoclusters were characterized by using ...

Double-armed crown ethers for calcium optical sensors
Talanta, 2009This paper presents the characterization of optical sensing membranes for calcium based on ionophore-chromoionophore chemistry. Six different ionophores, 18-membered crown ether derivatives, were studied, coming from 18-crown-6 ether and 4,13-diaza-18-crown-6 ether to a series of double-armed crown ethers with different type of terminal groups.

Crown ethers containing trans double bonds
Tetrahedron Letters, 1981Abstract The synthesis and spectroscopic properties of 18-crown-6-derivatives containing the E-α,β-dia1koxystilbene moiety as a ring member are described. These crown ethers are chiral but their complexing ability is drastically reduced as compared with the corresponding Z-isomers.

THE DOUBLE BELT SYSTEM FOR TREE CROWN STABILIZATION
Arboricultural Journal, 1993Summary As tree crown failure along roadsides is an unacceptable hazard to both traffic and pedestrians, a new belt system for crown stabilization has been developed. The double belt “System Osnabruck” combines a stronger retaining belt, which carries the load and is linked to the bracing cable, and a weaker fastening belt, which is tightened loosely ...

Reduction-resistant and reduction-catalytic double-crown nickel nanoclusters
Nanoscale, 2014Ni6(SCH2CH2Ph)12(Ni6) was synthesized using three different methods and fully characterized; importantly, the reduction-resistance and reduction-catalysis properties of Ni6 were revealed.

Retention force of removable partial dentures with different double crowns
Clinical Oral Investigations, 2017The aim of the study was to compare the retentive behaviors of double crowns with different designs and material compositions before and after artificial aging.Six pairs of double crowns were fabricated: telescopic crowns 0° made of high-noble metal (group A) or non-precious metal (group B), telescopic zirconia copings with secondary crowns made of ...

Attachments and Double Crown Systems for Removable Partial Dentures
2016There is lack of evidence-based knowledge to dominate clinical decision making about attachments for RPDs. Even though the use of attachments in clinical dentistry is very regular, selecting the appropriate attachment for a particular case can sometimes be a challenge.

Synthesis and complexation behaviour of a double-armed crown thioether ligand
Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1994Abstract The novel macrocycle 3,11-bis[4-(n-hexyloxy)benzoyloxy]- 1,5,9,13-tetrathiacyclohexadecane (2) was obtained as a mixture of cis and trans isomers by reaction of 1,5,9,13-tetra-thiacyclohexadecane- 3,11-diol (1) (cis and trans) and 4-(n- hexyloxy)benzoyl chloride.

Parameters affecting retentive force of electroformed double-crown systems
Clinical Oral Investigations, 2009The aim of this study was to determine the values of retentive forces of double crowns. The effect of the abutment height, the material of the inner crown, and the taper were evaluated. Sixty inner crowns each were fabricated from zirconia and a gold alloy having three different abutment heights (5, 7, and 9 mm) and two different tapers (0 degrees and ...
