Double-frequency oscillations of an impulse neuron equation with two delays

Automatic Control and Computer Sciences, 2013
The dynamics of the generalized impulse neuron equation with two delays are studied. A local analysis of the loss of the stability of the nonzero equilibrium state is carried out. The phase reorganizations of the equation under study are numerically analyzed using the obtained asymptotic formulas.

Apex cardiography in the elucidation of a double or multiple impulse apex beat

The American Journal of Cardiology, 1967
Abstract An atrial thrust, a bifid systolic impulse and a palpable diastolic bulge account for a double or multiple pulsation at the cardiac apex. Various causes and the mechanisms of production of these abnormalities of the apex beat were discussed.

FINITE IMPULSE RESPONSE DOUBLE DENSITY FILTER BANKS AND FRAMELETS

International Journal of Wavelets, Multiresolution and Information Processing, 2013
In this paper, we focus on the design of oversampled filter banks and the resulting framelets. The framelets obtained exhibit improved shift invariant properties over decimated wavelet transform. Shift invariance has applications in many areas, particularly denoising, coding and compression. Our contribution here is on filter bank completion.

A rotating spark gap for double impulse experiments

IEE Colloquium on Pulsed Power '96, 1996
The switching gap is the most important circuit component in a high-voltage high-current generator. Usually these switching devices are in the form of triggered spark gaps. It is well known, that following high current sparking, the gap between the electrodes stays "hot" for some time, which affects the recovery time of the spark gap.

Impulse studies of double diffraction: A discrete Huygens interpretation

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1982
A closed-form analytical impulse solution of diffraction by a rigid wedge is interpreted from the point of view of discrete Huygens wavelets emanating from the crest of the wedge. The strengths of these secondary sources and the impulse field diffracted over a second wedge are calculated.

Characteristics of a two-phase double-superimposed auxiliary impulse commutated chopper

1978 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1978
This paper deals with circuit configurations, operations, characteristics and evaluations of a two-phase auxiliary impulse commutated chopper derived from the McMurray inverter. The auxiliary impulse commutated chopper is composed of at least two main thyristors which alternately repeat turn-on and turn-off during each cycle operation.

Elimination of Impulsive Noise by Double Detection in Long Term Evolution Handsets

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2014
Long-Term Evolution (LTE) handsets operate in frequency bands that can be affected by impulsive noise (IN). LTE handsets have at least two receive antennas. We present the double-detection method, which is a variation of the classical threshold method to remove IN and consists in eliminating those signal samples whose amplitude simultaneously exceeds a

An Assessment of Impulsive Noise via a Double-Ringing Model

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1985
The generation and propagation of impulsive noise detected using multiple level detectors on ships's data bus lines is examined in terms of a simple model. This model consists of random switching of an inductive load, followed by near-field coupling, and a double-ringing process.
