Impulse sampled intermittent polyphase SC FIR rational decimators with double-sampling

Proceedings of 40th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Dedicated to the Memory of Professor Mac Van Valkenburg, 2005
The conventional scheme for sampled-data analog decimation with rational conversion ratio of L/M(M>L) suffers from undesired distortion due to the input sample-and-hold filtering effect in the front interpolation stage. Two new impulse sampled SC FIR rational decimator architectures are proposed in this paper employing the efficient intermittent ...

An Assessment of Impulsive Noise via a Double-Ringing Model

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1985
The generation and propagation of impulsive noise detected using multiple level detectors on ships's data bus lines is examined in terms of a simple model. This model consists of random switching of an inductive load, followed by near-field coupling, and a double-ringing process.

Double scattered electrons in ion-atom collisions: an impulse approximation

Journal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, 2001
A quantum-mechanical impulse approximation for target ionization is presented, which not only treats the electron-projectile interaction in higher orders, but also incorporates some target effects into the final electronic state. This approximation gives a peak in the double differential electron emission cross section which is similar to the `ternary ...

Double-layer non-negative matrix factorization for vibration-impulse separation

Measurement Science and Technology
Abstract Accurate separation of transient impulses from vibration responses is fundamental for mechanical-defect identification. Whereas non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) inherently supports component separation through low-rank approximation, conventional implementations relying on direct time–frequency distribution clustering ...

Levetiracetam in Patients With Impulsive Aggression

The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, 2008
There are few controlled studies evaluating drug treatment for impulsive aggression. The objective of this study was to evaluate levetiracetam in patients with impulsive aggression, and whether diagnosis or other baseline characteristics predict response.Outpatients with clinically significant impulsive aggression (meeting Coccaro et al.

Oxcarbazepine in Patients With Impulsive Aggression

Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology, 2005
Impulsive aggression is a common clinically significant symptom, but there are few controlled studies evaluating drug treatment. This study evaluated oxcarbazepine in patients with impulsive aggression and whether diagnosis or other baseline characteristics predict response.Eligible outpatients had clinically significant impulsive aggression, without ...
