Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Stability Analysis of Curved Beams Based on First-Order Shear Deformation Theory and Moving Least-Squares Approximation

open access: yesBuildings
Based on the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) and moving least-squares approximation (MLS), a new meshfree method that considers the effects of geometric nonlinearity and the pre- and post-buckling behaviors of curved beams is proposed.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Long range effects on the optical model of 6He around the Coulomb barrier

open access: yes, 2010
We present an optical model (OM) analysis of the elastic scattering data of the reactions 6He+27Al and 6He+208Pb at incident energies around the Coulomb barrier.

Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.

General variational many-body theory with complete self-consistency for trapped bosonic systems

open access: yes, 2006
In this work we develop a complete variational many-body theory for a system of $N$ trapped bosons interacting via a general two-body potential. In this theory both the many-body basis functions {\em and} the respective expansion coefficients are treated

Sensitivity and Specificity of the Diagnostic Method for Detecting α-Synuclein as a Histological Marker for Parkinson's Disease in Salivary Gland Tissues: a Systematic Review and Meta-analysis [PDF]

open access: yesАнналы клинической и экспериментальной неврологии
Immunohistochemistry of α-synuclein (α-syn), a marker for Parkinson's disease, in salivary gland (SG) biopsy specimens has been actively studied as a method of verification and early diagnosis.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Two Relaxed Inertial Forward–Reflected–Backward Splitting Algorithms With Momentum Terms

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
In this paper, to solve the monotone inclusion problem consisting of the sum of two monotone operators in Hilbert spaces, we propose and study two modifications of Malitsky–Tam’s forward–reflection–backward splitting methods with double momentum terms ...
