The double smeared null energy condition

open access: yesSciPost Physics, 2023
The null energy condition (NEC), an important assumption of the Penrose singularity theorem, is violated by quantum fields. The natural generalization of the NEC in quantum field theory, the renormalized null energy averaged over a finite null segment ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Gabapentin for tinnitus: a systematic review.

open access: yes, 2011
PURPOSE: The main aim of this study was to assess the effect of gabapentin on tinnitus via a systematic review. METHOD: An electronic search of literature as well as a hand search were conducted. Only double-blind randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that

Double phase elliptic inclusions with convection and logarithmic perturbed terms

open access: yesBulletin of Mathematical Sciences
This paper deals with a new double phase elliptic inclusion (DPEI) formulated by a double phase partial differential operator with logarithmic perturbation, a general multivalued convection term defined in the domain and a general multivalued term ...

Implementation of an Intelligent Model in Comparison with the Double Inclusion and the Finite Element Methods to Predict the Mechanical Properties of Polyethylene Bio loaded by Snail Shell Particles

open access: yes, 2022
Modern scientific investigations have focused on the experimental and computational modeling of the mechanical characteristics of bio composites. This is to identify more answers to the environmental, ecological, and long-term development constraints that bio composites can address [1].

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Phase field method for mean curvature flow with boundary constraints

open access: yes, 2012
International audienceThis paper is concerned with the numerical approximation of mean curvature flow $t \to \Omega(t)$ satisfying an additional inclusion-exclusion constraint $\Omega_1 \subset \Omega(t) \subset \Omega_2$.
