Double resonance mapping of liquids in porous materials

Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 1991
Abstract A double resonance method to image mixed fluids which fill porous materials is presented. The method exploits the scalar coupling between nuclei of the same molecule and leads to fluid identification with a signal-to-noise ratio greater than in direct imaging of nuclei characterized by low density or low gyromagnetic ratio.

A comparison of dual material double gate JLFET with single material double gate JLFET

2016 2nd International Conference on Next Generation Computing Technologies (NGCT), 2016
This paper presents a comparative study of dual material double gate junctionless transistor with the single material double gate junctionless transistor. A review of the basic modelling of the Junctionless transistor is also given in the paper. The surface potential of both structures are compared.

Double illumination of microscopic material

The Irish Journal of Medical Science, 1955
(1) When the microscope specimen is illuminated by both sub-stage and supra-stage sources, those parts of the preparation that appear black when viewed by the transmitted (sub-stage) light can be coloured by the reflected (supra-stage) light. In this way a two-coloured picture with marked contrast can be obtained.

Organic materials for frequency doubling

Advanced Materials, 1991
Research News: Organic nonlinear optical (NLO) materials offer and alternative approach to a blue laser to the inorganic materials described by Ouwerkerk (this issue). The criteria for efficient organic NLO materials which are transparent at both 820 nm, the emmission frequency of GaAs/AlGaAs diode lasers, and 410 nm, the frequency of the frequency ...

Double Staining of Plant Materials in Bulk

Stain Technology, 1968
Ovaries and ovules of Oryza sativa and Zea mays were collected between 9-30 and 10-30 AM, fixed in formalin-acetic-alcohol, stained in Delafield's hematoxylin for 2-4 hr, dehydrated through graded ethanol, counterstained for 3-4 hr either in light green, orange G or fast green (0.05-0.1%) at the 1:1 alcohol-xylene stage and embedded. A few ovaries were

On double shearing in frictional materials

International Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, 2006
AbstractThis paper evaluates the mechanical behaviour of yielding frictional geomaterials. The general Double Shearing model describes this behaviour. Non‐coaxiality of stress and plastic strain increments for plane strain conditions forms an important part of this model. The model is based on a micro‐mechanical and macro‐mechanical formulation.
