Photoswitching Conduction in Framework Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This mini‐review summarizes recent advances in state‐of‐the‐art proton and electron conduction in framework materials that can be remotely and reversibly switched on and off by light. It discusses the various photoswitching conduction mechanisms and the strategies employed to enhance photoswitched conductivity.

Phase Separation in A-site Ordered Perovskite Manganite LaBaMn$_2$O$_6$ Probed by $^{139}$La and $^{55}$Mn NMR

open access: yes, 2005
$^{139}$La- and $^{55}$Mn-NMR spectra demonstrate that the ground state of the A-site ordered perovskite manganite LaBaMn$_2$O$_6$ is a spatial mixture of the ferromagnetic (FM) and antiferromagnetic (AFI(CE)) regions, which are assigned to the metallic ...

Defect‐Mediated Scintillation in Fully Inorganic Perovskites via Water‐Induced 0D/3D Phase Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reproducible synthesis to control 3D/0D phase ratios via water‐tuned solvent–antisolvent methods is presented. Enhanced scintillation yield and ultrafast decay are achieved. Defect‐driven emission mechanisms are revealed through cathodoluminescence and radioluminescence, shedding light on the underexplored role of the 0D Cs4PbBr6 and mixed 0D/3D ...

Ba2YIrO6: A cubic double perovskite material with Ir5+ ions

open access: yes, 2016
Materials with a 5d4 electronic configuration are generally considered to have a nonmagnetic ground state (J=0). Interestingly, Sr2YIrO6 (Ir5+ having 5d4 electronic configuration) was recently reported to exhibit long-range magnetic order at low ...

Optimized non-toxic double absorber perovskite solar cell with efficiency beyond 33%

open access: yesResults in Optics
Lead-based perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have demonstrated significant potential; however, their use has been limited due to concerns about stability and toxicity.

A New Method for Fitting Current–Voltage Curves of Planar Heterojunction Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesNano-Micro Letters, 2017
Herein we propose a new equivalent circuit including double heterojunctions in series to simulate the current–voltage characteristic of P–I–N planar structure perovskite solar cells.

Universal In Situ Isotope Exchange Raman Spectroscopy (IERS) Methodology for Measuring Oxygen Surface Exchange Dynamics Using a Probe Layer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bespoke multilayer thin film configuration has been designed, which overcomes the material dependency of conventional isotope exchange Raman spectroscopy (IERS). This universal IERS methodology is efficient, non‐destructive and provides additional structural information and time resolution, which can be further extended to various isotopic elements ...

Theory of prospective tetrahedral perovskite ferroelectrics

open access: yes, 2010
Using first-principles methods, we predict the energy landscape and ferroelectric states of double perovskites of the form AA$'$BB$'$O$_6$ in which the atoms on both the A and B sites are arranged in rock-salt order.

GeAl2‐2xFe2xO3(OH)4 Nanotubes: New Electrocatalyst for Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fe‐doped imogolite nanotubes are synthesized via a one‐step hydrothermal method with varying Fe substitution ratios x. Structural and spectroscopic analyses confirm homogeneous Fe incorporation while preserving tubular shape. Optimal doping at x = 0.05 enhances optical absorption, narrows band gap, reduces charge transfer resistance, and significantly ...

Magnetic properties of the double perovskites LaPbMSbO6 (M = Mn, Co and Ni)

open access: yes, 2013
New double perovskites LaPbMSbO6, where M2+ = Mn2+, Co2+, and Ni2+, were synthesized as polycrystals by an aqueous synthetic route at temperatures below 1000 oC.
