Large Magnetoresistance and Jahn Teller effect in Sr$_2$FeCoO$_6$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Neutron diffraction measurement on the spin glass double perovskite Sr$_2$FeCoO$_6$ reveals site disorder as well as Co$^{3+}$ intermediate spin state.

Multiferroic double perovskites: Opportunities, issues, and challenges [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Physics, 2010
A well-controlled coupled behavior in magnetoelectric materials at room temperature remains challenging. We demonstrate that the self-ordered A2B′B″O6 (e.g., A=La, B′=Mn, and B″=Ni) double perovskites provide a unique alternative opportunity to control and/or to induce such behavior in oxides.

Near‐Infrared Emitting Lanthanide Catecholate Giant Single Crystals – Morphology Control and Photon Down‐Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Structural response to O*-O' and magnetic transitions in orthorhombic perovskites [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We present a temperature dependent single crystal x-ray diffraction study of twinned orthorhombic perovskites La1-xCaxMnO3, for x=0.16 and x=0.25. These data show the evolution of the crystal structure from the ferromagnetic insulating state to the ...

Electronic structure of ordered double perovskite Ba2CoWO6 [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2014
Ba2CoWO6 (BCoW) has been synthesized in polycrystalline form by solid state reaction at 1200C. Structural characterization of the compound was done through X-ray diffraction (XRD) followed by Rietveld analysis of the XRD pattern. The crystal structure is cubic, space group Fm-3m (No 225) with the lattice parameter, a=8.210A.

Decoupling Size and Electronic Effects in Doped SrTiO3 Photocatalysts Through Surface Area–Normalized CO2 Hydrogenation Rates

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Exploring the photocatalytic reverse water–gas shift (RWGS) reaction on doped SrTiO3 nanoparticle films, reveals that normalizing catalytic rates by the catalyst's specific surface area (SSA) disentangled surface area effects from the catalyst's intrinsic material properties.

Double perovskites with 3d and 4d/5d transition metals: compounds with promises

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2020
Double perovskites, which can host two different transition metal cations at the B-sites of its perovskite derived structure, provide the possibility to explore the interplay of localized 3d transition metals and the relatively delocalized 4d or 5d ...

Theory of prospective tetrahedral perovskite ferroelectrics

open access: yes, 2010
Using first-principles methods, we predict the energy landscape and ferroelectric states of double perovskites of the form AA$'$BB$'$O$_6$ in which the atoms on both the A and B sites are arranged in rock-salt order.

Mathematical modeling of the perovskite and double perovskite crystal structures

open access: yesIzvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii. Materialy Elektronnoi Tekhniki = Materials of Electronics Engineering, 2022
The paper considers the problem of modeling materials with the crystal structure of perovskite and double perovskite. Due to the high complexity of obtaining micro- and nanoscale objects, data on the structure and properties of such materials are especially important.

Photoswitching Conduction in Framework Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This mini‐review summarizes recent advances in state‐of‐the‐art proton and electron conduction in framework materials that can be remotely and reversibly switched on and off by light. It discusses the various photoswitching conduction mechanisms and the strategies employed to enhance photoswitched conductivity.
