3D PRINTED SOUND-ABSORBING MATERIALS WITH DOUBLE POROSITY
Inter-Noise 2022, 2023The paper shows that acoustic materials with double porosity can be 3D printed with the appropriate design of the main pore network and the contrasted micro-porous skeleton. The microporous structure is obtained through the use of appropriate additive manufacturing (AM) technology, raw material, and process parameters.

Double Porosity Biot Theory Extension
70th EAGE Conference and Exhibition incorporating SPE EUROPEC 2008, 2008Reservoir stones are generally a porous medium, heterogeneous, fractured and saturated with oil, gas or water. The analysis of wave propagation on these media is carried out using the Biot-Gassman theory for porous media and an extended Biot's theory for fractured porous medium.

Acoustic wave propagation in double porosity media
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2003A study of the propagation of waves in porous media with an interconnected network of pores and micropores of very different characteristic sizes, saturated by a compressible Newtonian fluid, is proposed. With this aim, the homogenization technique for periodic separated scales media, is applied to realistic double porosity materials with motionless ...

Double‐porosity homogenization for perimeter functionals
Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2009AbstractIn this paper we are concerned with the overall description of interfacial energies in a composite environment where the local properties of the media are characterized by a large variation of the values of surface tension (double‐porosity homogenization). We prove some asymptotic results in terms of Γ‐convergence for a sequence of functionals ...

Modelling doublets and double porosity
Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology, 2010Abstract A simple model has been developed as a scoping tool for transport between an injection well and an abstraction well pumping at the same rate (i.e. a doublet) in a fractured porous rock. This model is aimed primarily at the planning and preliminary interpretation of tracer tests and trial heat exchange using thermal doublets in the Chalk ...

Love waves in double porosity media
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 2006Abstract Based on the control equations for double-porosity media extended from Biot's theory, the propagation of Love waves is discussed in this paper. Dispersion equations of Love waves in double porosity medium are obtained by utilizing the usual assumption of Love waves in elastic solid with the coupling mass coefficient ρ 23 and coupling ...

Wave propagation in double-porosity thermoelastic media
GEOPHYSICS, 2022The Lord-Shulman thermoporoelasticity theory couples the Biot and hyperbolic heat equations to describe wave propagation, modeling explicitly the effects of heat and fluid flows. We have extended the theory to the case of double porosity by taking into account the local heat flow (LHF) and local fluid flow (LFF) due to wave propagation. The plane-wave

Our aim in this chapter is to describe a theory of nonlinear thermoelasticity where the body contains a double porosity system of voids. There is a void distribution associated to the macro pores, but additionally there is another void distribution due to the micro pores. This work was developed by Iesan & Quintanilla [? ].

Multiphase double‐porosity homogenization for perimeter functionals
Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2012In this paper, we study a homogenization problem for perimeter energies in highly contrasted media; the analysis of the previous paper is carried out by removing the hypothesis that the perforated mediumRn ∖ Eis composed of disjoint compact components.
