Mathematical Problems in the Theory of Bone Poroelasticity
This paper concerns with the quasi-static theory of bone poroelasticity for materials with double porosity. The system of equations of this theory based on the equilibrium equations, conservation of fluid mass, the effective stress concept and Darcy’s ...

Finite element analysis of the effect of porosity on residual stress in 2024 aluminium alloy GTAW
Simulations of the welding process for butt joints using finite element analysis (FEA) of the effect of porosity are presented. The metal used was aluminium alloy (grade 2024), and the filler material was alloy ER5356.

In the present article, we have used the three-phase-lag model of thermoelasticity to formulate a two dimensional problem of non homogeneous, isotropic, double porous media with a gravitational field impact. Thermal shock of constant intensity is applied

A new algorithm for P-wave reverse time migration (RTM) in a fracture-induced TTI double-porosity medium is proposed in this paper, by combining RTM with the method of P-and S-wave field separation in high-order staggered grid finitedifference scheme.

Differentiability, porosity and doubling in metric measure spaces [PDF]
We show if a metric measure space admits a differentiable structure then porous sets have measure zero and hence the measure is pointwise doubling. We then give a construction to show if we only require an approximate differentiable structure the measure need no longer be pointwise doubling.

Generalized theory of thermoelastic diffusion with double porosity
The present paper focuses on the derivation of the constitutive relations and field equations for anisotropic thermoelastic medium with mass diffusion and double porosity. The variational principle, uniqueness and reciprocity theorems are also derived.
