Strong and micro lensing in distant quasars
Most large galaxies contain Super Massive Black Holes at their centers, drawing matter nearby to form swirling accretion disks emitting electromagnetic radiation. These are Active Galactic Nuclei.

To understand how massive galaxies are influenced by their surroundings, we present new Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array and Northern Extended Millimeter Array observations as part of A Multiwavelength Study of Enormous Ly α Nebula (ELAN ...

The unification of radio galaxies and quasars: implications of the radio sizes and number densities
We examine the recent suggestion that the relative counts and median radio sizes of the moderately distant quasars and radio galaxies in the 3CR complete sample are inconsistent with the simple unification scheme, according to which radio galaxies appear

Molecular gas in type 2 quasars at z ~ 0.2-0.3 [PDF]
We present results of CO(1-0) spectroscopic observations of 10 Sloan Digital Sky Survey type 2 quasars (QSO2) at z ~ 0.2-0.3 observed with the 30-m IRAM radio telescope and the Australia Telescope Compact Array.

A range of time delays for the double quasar 0957 + 561 A, B
We have extended the complex formalism of Bourassa and Kantowski for a transparent gravitational lens to a multilens situation. By using a grid of assumed positions for the cluster center within its measured error box, we have then calculated a range of possible time delays between the two images, A and B. The results indicate a range from 0.03 yr to 1.

We conduct a reverberation mapping (RM) campaign to spectroscopically monitor a sample of selected bright active galactic nuclei with large anticipated broad-line region (BLR) sizes adequate for spectroastrometric (SA) observations by the GRAVITY ...

Varstrometry for Dual Active Galactic Nuclei Using Radio Interferometry: VaDAR with the VLBA
Multiple active galactic nuclei (multi-AGN) are a known result of galaxy mergers. Therefore, they are an important tool for studying the formation and dynamical evolution of galaxies and supermassive black holes. A novel method for the selection of multi-

Spectroscopic identification of type 2 quasars at z < 1 in SDSS-III/BOSS
The physics and demographics of type 2 quasars remain poorly understood, and new samples of such objects selected in a variety of ways can give insight into their physical properties, evolution, and relationship to their host galaxies.
