Lagrangian reduction and the double spherical pendulum
ZAMP Zeitschrift fr angewandte Mathematik und Physik, 1993A geometrization and generalization of the Routh procedure of Lagrangian reduction is presented. This is done by including conservative gyroscopic forces into the variational principle. A Dirac constraint type of construction occurs useful as one of the aids for the nonabelian case. The rigid body as a simple nonabelian example is discussed.

Speckle Reduction by Double Recorded Holograms
Applied Optics, 1973A method of speckle reduction in holography for 2-D objects with minimum recording area is presented. The image is incoherently synthesized from the hologram double recorded with a set of random phase plates.

On the Impossibility of Dimension Reduction for Doubling Subsets of $\ell_{p}$
SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics, 2014A major open problem in the field of metric embedding is the existence of dimension reduction for $n$-point subsets of Euclidean space, such that both distortion and dimension depend only on the doubling constant of the point set, and not on its cardinality. In this paper, we negate this possibility for $\ell_p$ spaces with $p>2$.

Modern Double-Reduction Traction Motor
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1946Incorporated in the modern double-reduction motor and gear unit are many new design features which have made it an outstanding motor for the past five years. Oil lubrication is provided for all gearing and bearings in the oil-tight double-reduction gear unit.
