Doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) in wind turbine. modeling and power flow control
2004 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology, 2004. IEEE ICIT '04., 2005In this work, the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) for wind energy conversion system is studied. First, the dq model of the wound rotor induction machine in rotor reference frame and then how it can be implemented in simulink for fast simulations.

Power Flow Modeling to Doubly-Fed Induction Generators (DFIGs) Under Power Regulation
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2013With the constant kopt model under the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) strategy, wind power fluctuation from the doubly-fed induction generators (DFIGs) increases the operational risk. With given wind speed, the constant kopt model with variable slip yields impractical power output.

Most of the diesel generators (DG) set used in remote areas runs at constant speed to produce ac output power with constant voltage and constant frequency. In remote areas the peak demand typically occurs only for a few hours in the evening. Therefore the DG set has to be heavily over-sized in relation to the prevalent load conditions.

Modeling and control of a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based Wind Conversion System
2009 International Conference on Power Engineering, Energy and Electrical Drives, 2009This paper presents a general modeling and an experimental validation of a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based Wind Conversion System (WCS). The Wind Conversion System has been briefly presented. Then, the d q control of the Grid Side Converter (GSC) has been detailed theoretically.

Stability Assessment on Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) Wind Turbine Micro Grid Power System
Journal of Computational and Theoretical Nanoscience, 2019As of late, expanding interest of renewable energy and consumption of non-renewable energy source have prompted developing advancement of renewable energy technology, for example, wind energy. Wind energy has turned out to be one of the reliable sources of renewable energy, which requests extra transmission capacity and better methods for sustaining ...

Modeling and Control of Doubly Fed Induction Generators (DFIGs) For Wind Energy Applications
2006 International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems, 2006Various literatures have been published on the application of Doubly Fed Induction Generators for wind power generation. The wind turbines and the induction machines have their own inherent characteristics and literature on how the wound rotor induction generator behaves when coupled to the wind turbine together with its control, is limited. This paper

In this paper, a reduced order state observer for DFIG is designed that estimate the states with just using DFIG's stator voltage and power measurements. Further, the proposed state observer is used to provide two control strategies for Rotor Side Converter (RSC) of DFIG a) state estimator based state feedback control and b) state estimator based ...

An Improved Technique of Wind Power Harvesting With a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG)
2018 IEEE 8th Power India International Conference (PIICON), 2018The paper presents that the improved green power harvesting technique is proposed by the variable speed conditions of the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) at the site of the wind farms. The DFIG system plays an important elucidation to meet up the power demand for the grid mode of the operations as a unique technique of the robust energy ...

Co-ordinated voltage control strategy for a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind farm
IEE Proceedings - Generation, Transmission and Distribution, 2004The penetration of wind power into electricity networks is increasing and many large wind farms use doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind turbines. A voltage control strategy for a DFIG-based wind farm is essential for compliance with some wind farm connection requirements. Such a control strategy may also have commercial benefits.
