An Improved Technique of Wind Power Harvesting With a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG)
2018 IEEE 8th Power India International Conference (PIICON), 2018The paper presents that the improved green power harvesting technique is proposed by the variable speed conditions of the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) at the site of the wind farms. The DFIG system plays an important elucidation to meet up the power demand for the grid mode of the operations as a unique technique of the robust energy ...

Power System Oscillation Damping Capability of Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG)
2018 IEEE/PES Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exposition (T&D), 2018The increasing amount of wind power generation essentially replaces the conventional synchronous generators of the power system, thereby, reducing the total inertia of the system. Reduced inertia of the system is expected to hamper the system response during contingencies.

Doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) in wind turbine. modeling and power flow control
2004 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology, 2004. IEEE ICIT '04., 2005In this work, the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) for wind energy conversion system is studied. First, the dq model of the wound rotor induction machine in rotor reference frame and then how it can be implemented in simulink for fast simulations.

Modeling and control of a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based Wind Conversion System
2009 International Conference on Power Engineering, Energy and Electrical Drives, 2009This paper presents a general modeling and an experimental validation of a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based Wind Conversion System (WCS). The Wind Conversion System has been briefly presented. Then, the d q control of the Grid Side Converter (GSC) has been detailed theoretically.

Modeling and Control of Doubly Fed Induction Generators (DFIGs) For Wind Energy Applications
2006 International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems, 2006Various literatures have been published on the application of doubly fed induction generators for wind power generation. The wind turbines and the induction machines have their own inherent characteristics and literature on how the wound rotor induction generator behaves when coupled to the wind turbine together with its control, is limited. This paper

In this paper, a reduced order state observer for DFIG is designed that estimate the states with just using DFIG's stator voltage and power measurements. Further, the proposed state observer is used to provide two control strategies for Rotor Side Converter (RSC) of DFIG a) state estimator based state feedback control and b) state estimator based ...

The doubly-fed induction generators (DFIGs) are widely applied in wind power conversion. The wind turbines are operated under speed control or power control, and suffered from wind disturbance or network contingency. Full expression of each DFIG involves many differential equations and lots of calculation effort.

The world is facing the challenge to generate and store electrical energy in an effective manner so the concentration of wind farm is increasing day by day. All these natural resources possess stochastic behavior so the variation in output waveforms at all these nonlinear power supply units are pre-default.

Modelling of a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) to study its control system
A fifth order model of a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) is proposed with stator flux orientation (SFO) vector control. Induction generator equipped with the as-built wind turbine scheme and grid system is modelled in MATLAB/SIMULINK. Different controllable parameters are identified.Billah, M. M. +2 more
