Bit-Stream control of Doubly-Fed Induction Generators
2010 IEEE International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies (ICSET), 2010Bit-Stream based control, which uses one bit wide signals to control power electronics applications, is a new approach for controller design. A Bit-Stream based control system for the Rotor Side Converter (RSC) of a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) is proposed to demonstrate that the Bit-Stream control technique is suitable for complex vector ...

Intelligent adaptive control of doubly fed induction generator
2010 IEEE International Conference on Power and Energy, 2010Induction generators have gained an important rule in many applications. These generators have a very wide rotor speed operation range and reactive power with non-linear characteristics. As a result the linear controllers which have been designed for an operating point don't show a properly function for controlling the generator outputs.

IEEE transactions on power electronics, 2019
This paper proposes a novel direct power control (DPC) method for the doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs) power control system. The proposed DPC method is based on extended power theory rather than conventional instantaneous power theory.

Doubly-Fed Induction Generator Control Under Voltage Sags
2008 IEEE Energy 2030 Conference, 2008This paper proposes a new control technique to improve the fault-ride through capability of doubly fed induction generators (DFIG). In such generators the appearance of severe voltage sags at the coupling point make rise to high over currents at the rotor/stator windings, something that makes necessary to protect the machine as well as the rotor side ...

Fault ride-through of doubly-fed induction generators
2012 International Conference on Power, Signals, Controls and Computation, 2012The aim of this paper is to explore the various dynamic controllers to enhance the fault ride-through (FRT) of doubly-fed induction generators (DFIGs). A wind farm of total capacity 9 MW is considered for the study. The flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) controllers like Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOM) and Unified Power Flow Controllers (

Determination of parameters of doubly-fed induction generators
2016 XXII International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM), 2016In this paper, the identification of equivalent circuit parameters of a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) is investigated. To date, several methods have been presented to identify or estimate induction machine (IM) parameters by using IEEE Std. 112. However, for accurate results using this standard, adjustments according to the machine's design are

Autonomous wind turbines with Doubly-Fed Induction Generators
2009 3rd International Conference on Energy and Environment (ICEE), 2009In this paper, a vector control mechanism has been suggested and applied to simulate the operation of a Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) attached to an isolated off-the-grid wind turbine, to demonstrate that these generators can be used at lower costs to control the power quality in stand alone wind turbines.
