Doubly-Fed Induction Generators for wind power generation
2007 International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems, 2007There are many papers available on doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) and their control. However, there are gray areas where a laymen into the wind industry cannot fully understand with regard to the operation of these machines. This paper presents from first principles, the operation and control of the DFIG, and supplement the theory by results ...

Harmonic analysis of doubly fed induction generators
The Fifth International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems, 2003. PEDS 2003., 2004This paper gives an overview of the frequency spectrum of the stator and rotor currents in a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) used in wind power applications. The paper also presents a method to eliminate higher harmonics and interharmonics in the DFIG stator current.

Doubly Fed Induction Generators
2010Adjustable speed induction generators, especially the Doubly-Fed Induction Generators (DFIG) are becoming increasingly popular due to its various advantages over fixed speed generator systems. A DFIG in a wind turbine has ability to generate maximum power with varying rotational speed, ability to control active and reactive by integration of electronic
