Biaxial behavior of laser welded DP/TRIP steel sheets

The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2013
This paper aims to investigate the biaxial behavior of laser welded dual-phase (DP600)/transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP700) steel sheets. The formability of base metals and weldment were experimentally investigated by standard Erichsen test according to DIN EN ISO 20482.

Correlation Between Strain and Exfoliating Performance of Galvannealed DP Steels

Manufacturing Science and Engineering, Parts A and B, 2006
The galvannealed dual-phase steels are used in automotive applications. However, galvannealed coating is often exfoliated when it is in the pressing process. Galvannealed exfoliation is examined as a function of strain state using double reserve Olsen test to simulate forming process.

Statistical modeling of laser welding of DP/TRIP steel sheets

Optics & Laser Technology, 2012
Abstract In this research work, a statistical analysis of the CO 2 laser beam welding of dual phase (DP600)/transformation induced plasticity (TRIP700) steel sheets was done using response surface methodology. The analysis considered the effect of laser power (2–2.2 kW), welding speed (40–50 mm/s) and focus position (−1 to 0 mm) on the heat input ...

Comparison of damage development depending on the local microstructure in low alloyed Al-TRIP-steels, IF steel and a DP steel

International Journal of Materials Research, 2009
Abstract A study of the microstructural effects on the void initiation and crack growth in aluminium alloyed TRIP (transformation induced plasticity) steels has been conducted. Understanding of this microstructural dependency of the crack development is necessary to increase the failure limit and the energy absorption rate of the ...

Electromagnetic Pulse Crimping of Al-Tube on DP Steel Rod

2018
The electromagnetic pulse crimping is a high energy, high strain rate, high velocity, and green materials joining or surface coating technique. Joining of dissimilar materials is difficult due to their physiochemical properties that are seldom compatible or similar. Therefore, electromagnetic pulse crimping which is solid-state joining technique can be

Johnson - Cook Strength Models for Mild and DP 590 Steels

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2006
Automotive steels, Mild and Dual Phase590 (DP590) are characterized in tension at room temperature, using the quasi‐static and split Hopkinson bar techniques at various strain rates ranging from ∼10−3/s to ∼1800/s. Tension stress‐strain data for both the steels are analyzed to determine the Johnson‐Cook Strength model constants, J‐C strength model ...
