Experimental evaluation of preprocessing algorithms for constraint satisfaction problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
This paper presents an experimental evaluation of two orthogonal schemes for preprocessing constraint satisfaction problems (CSPs). The first of these schemes involves a class of local consistency techniques that includes directional arc consistency ...

Morphometric and Paleobiological Insights Into Pleistocene Sicilian Wolf Populations

open access: yesActa Zoologica, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Pleistocene wolves (Canis lupus) from Sicily represent one of the few known insular populations of this species from that time period. Despite their potential relevance for understanding carnivore adaptations in insular contexts, no dedicated study has previously investigated their morphology and evolutionary significance.

Sentence alignment in DPC: maximizing precision, minimizing human effort [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A wide spectrum of multilingual applications have aligned parallel corpora as their prerequisite. The aim of the project described in this paper is to build a multilingual corpus where all sentences are aligned at very high precision with a minimal human

New biosensors and transgenic mice for multiplex cGMP imaging

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Background and Purpose Cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) is a versatile second messenger that is important for human (patho‐)physiology and pharmacotherapy. Live‐cell imaging of cGMP with biosensors allows to elucidate its spatiotemporal dynamics in real time under close‐to‐native conditions. However, to monitor two separate cGMP pools or cGMP/cAMP

Economics and Engineering for Preserving Digital Content [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Progress towards practical long-term preservation seems to be stalled. Preservationists cannot afford specially developed technology, but must exploit what is created for the marketplace.

Rutin Stabilises β‐Catenin Through GSK3β Inhibition to Promote Hair Follicle Regeneration

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Rutin directly binds to GSK3β, stabilising β‐catenin and activating Wnt/β‐catenin signalling to drive hair cycle.

Planck LFI DPC-DPC SGS1 and SGS2 Flag Mask

open access: yes, 2009
The purpose of this Technical Note is to define the Flag mask to be applied at the level of SGS1 and SGS2 for the DPC purposes. A table on which flag of this general flag mask will be exported in the EFDD format will be summarized in the last chapter.

Clinical gait analysis use in management of children with cerebral palsy: Qualitative study

open access: yesDevelopmental Medicine &Child Neurology, EarlyView.
Barriers and facilitators related to the use of clinical gait analysis (CGA), as identified by healthcare professionals working with children with cerebral palsy and by caregivers. The colored triangles represent the different barriers reported at various stages along the CGA care pathway.

Exosomes derived from mouse vibrissa dermal papilla cells promote hair follicle regeneration during wound healing by activating Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway

open access: yesJournal of Nanobiotechnology
Hair follicle (HF) regeneration during wound healing continues to present a significant clinical challenge. Dermal papilla cell-derived exosomes (DPC-Exos) hold immense potential for inducing HF neogenesis.

Association between diabetes and in‐hospital outcomes in patients with metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease hospitalized for cardiovascular disease: A nationwide database study

open access: yesDiabetic Medicine, EarlyView.
In a nationwide cohort of 10,614 patients with metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) hospitalized for cardiovascular disease (CVD), diabetes was present in 4550 patients (43%) and was independently associated with higher in‐hospital mortality and cardiovascular complications.
