Green Synthesis of Poly(ε‐caprolactone) Using Environmentally Benign Organic Acid Catalysts: A Sustainable, Metal‐Free, and Solvent‐Free Route to Ring‐Opening Polymerization

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 3, March 2026.
Ring‐opening polymerization of ε‐caprolactone was performed at 100°C under solvent‐free conditions using catalysts of various environmentally benign organic acids. The reaction rate was correlated with the pKa of the catalysts, and 1H NMR confirmed initiator‐derived chain ends.

Phytochemical Profiling of the Halophyte Artemisia fukudo Makino and Its In Vitro Effects on Androgen‐Related Pathways Associated With Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and Alopecia

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study investigated the phytochemical constituents of the halophyte Artemisia fukudo, leading to the isolation and identification of eight compounds characterized by HPLC–DAD and ESI–MS. Importantly, we demonstrate for the first time that jaceidin inhibits 5α‐reductase type 2 and downregulates BPH‐associated proteins (AR, PSA, and PCNA) in prostate

From Membrane Composition to Antimicrobial Strategies: Experimental and Computational Approaches to AMP Design and Selectivity

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 16, 17 March 2026.
Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are promising candidates for next‐generation antibiotics, acting through mechanisms such as membrane disruption and intracellular targeting. This review examines how variations in bacterial membrane composition critically influence AMP activity.

Real‐Time Detection and Prevention of DoS Attack in Unmanned Marine Vehicles Using Machine Learning

open access: yesSECURITY AND PRIVACY, Volume 9, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
ABSTRACT Unmanned marine vehicles (UMVs) are one of the most crucial components of the underwater communication and surveillance system in the marine and oceanographic environment. This research introduces a novel approach to stabilize the connection in an unstable underwater environment by inheriting features of communication velocities.

Integrating Socio‐Economic and Seasonal Drivers With Feed Innovations to Enhance Smallholder Dairy Production in Gamo and Wolaita Zones, Southern Ethiopia

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 2, March 2026.
The study assessed socio‐economic and seasonal factors in using indigenous alternative feeds such as Vernonia amygdalina that hold strong potential to address feed scarcity and enhance dairy productivity. Feed availability differed significantly between wet and dry seasons.
