Dissection of 6.5 dpc Mouse Embryos [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Visualized Experiments, 2007
Analysis of gene expression patterns during early stages of mammalian embryonic development can provide important clues about gene function, cell-cell interaction and signaling mechanisms that guide embryonic patterning. However, dissection of the mouse embryo from the decidua shortly after implantation can be a challenging procedure, and detailed step-

Scaling laws of sum rate using time-sharing, DPC, and beamforming for MIMO broadcast channels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We derive the scaling laws of the sum rate throughput for MIMO Gaussian broadcast channels using time-sharing to the strongest user, dirty paper coding (DPC), and beamforming when the number of users (receivers) n is large. Assuming a fixed total average

Dual‐Key Genetic Circuit Enables Stable and Self‐Regulated Engineered Bacteria for the Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A self‐regulated Escherichia coli Nissle 1917 strain equipped with a dual‐key genetic circuit achieved antibiotic‐free stability and programmable lysis for therapeutic protein delivery. By co‐expressing an IL‐2 mutant and Amuc_1100, the engineered bacteria restored immune balance and epithelial integrity, providing a safe and precise approach for ...

Promiscuity of Peptides Presented in HLA-DP Molecules from Different Immunogenicity Groups Is Associated With T-Cell Cross-Reactivity

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2022
In the context of HLA-DP-mismatched allogeneic stem cell transplantation, mismatched HLA-DP alleles can provoke profound allo-HLA-DP-specific immune responses from the donor T-cell repertoire leading to graft-versus-leukemia effect and/or graft-versus ...

Sliding Mode Control With Grid Voltage Modulated DPC for Voltage Source Inverters Under Distorted Grid Voltage

open access: yesCPSS Transactions on Power Electronics and Applications, 2019
The grid voltage modulated direct power control (GVM-DPC) for grid-connected voltage source inverters has been introduced so that it can overcome the poor steady-state performance of the DPC. However, it was designed for a nondistorted grid voltage.

Endometrial Epithelial Lactate Deficiency Drives CD8+ T‐Cells Dysregulation in Unexplained Recurrent Implantation Failure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Unexplained recurrent implantation failure (RIF) represents a significant clinical challenge. Our results demonstrate that reduced lactate production in the RIF endometrium impairs the suppression of cytotoxic CD8+ T‑cells, allowing their proliferation and thereby disrupting the local immune balance essential for successful embryo implantation.

Fluoroscopy-guided simultaneous distal perfusion as a preventive strategy of limb ischemia in patients undergoing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation

open access: yesAnnals of Intensive Care, 2018
Background Limited data are available regarding prevention of limb ischemia in femorally cannulated patients on venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA-ECMO). We investigated the association between strategy of distal perfusion catheter (DPC)

Dermal Papilla Cell-Derived Extracellular Vesicles Increase Hair Inductive Gene Expression in Adipose Stem Cells via β-Catenin Activation

open access: yesCells, 2022
Recently, extracellular vesicle (EV)-mediated cell differentiation has gained attention in developmental biology due to genetic exchange between donor cells and recipient cells via transfer of mRNA and miRNA.

Advancing Energy Materials by In Situ Atomic Scale Methods

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
Progress in in situ atomic scale methods leads to an improved understanding of new and advanced energy materials, where a local understanding of complex, inhomogeneous systems or interfaces down to the atomic scale and quantum level is required. Topics from photovoltaics, dissipation losses, phase transitions, and chemical energy conversion are ...
