Application of Sugarcane Bagasse in Controlling the Clogging of the Synthetic Drainage Envelopes in Ramhormoz Limy Soils [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و مهندسی آبیاری, 2019
While there are several types of salts in the soil, salts that have higher solubility in water are dissolved and removed from the soil,  But salts with low solubility in soil, sediment layers hard to cause clogging in the soil or in their coverage. Among

Combined Effects of Water Stress and Salinity Stress on Yield Quantity and Quality of Grain Maize Varieties ksc-260 [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و مهندسی آبیاری, 2017
Water shortages, particularly in arid and semi-arid areas have been threatening food security for millions of people. Considering that Iran is located in the arid and semi-arid zone, crop production is not possible without irrigation management. In areas

Intraoperative Collection of Ascitic Fluid With Intra‐ or Postoperative Reinfusion in Ovarian Cancer: Safety and Feasibility of a Roller Pumping Method

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.

Improving drainage water quality: Constructed wetlands-performance assessment using multivariate and cost analysis

open access: yesWater Science, 2018
Multivariate analysis of variance followed by multiple comparisons and discriminant function analysis were used to characterize the performance of three plant species (water hyacinth WH, reed RD and duckweed DW) to remove drainage water pollutants using ...

Adjunctive Therapeutic Plasma Exchange in Refractory Adult‐Onset Still's Disease Complicated by Secondary Macrophage Activation Syndrome: A Single‐Center Experience

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Adult‐onset Still's disease (AOSD) complicated by macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) carries substantial mortality. The role of therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) remains uncertain. Methods We retrospectively analyzed patients with AOSD‐MAS treated with TPE at a single‐center.

Spatiotemporal zoning of groundwater quality in Rechna Doab: analysis of Electrical Conductivity (EC), Sodium Adsorption Ratio (SAR), and Residual Sodium Carbonate (RSC) variability

open access: yesEQA
Groundwater quality is essential for sustaining human and plant life, as its degradation can harm vital organisms critical for ecosystem balance. GIS-based models have proven effective in large-scale water quality zoning, offering precise and efficient ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
